The Delaware Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance is governed by a constitution. The DAHPERD mission is to promote health education, physical education, recreation and dance in the State of Delaware. Our vision is that every student in the State of Delaware has an equal opportunity and education in how to live their lives to maximize their health, happiness and longevity.

DAHPERD Functions

• Advocate for our profession and its responsibilities in the field of education


• Promote heath education, physical education, recreation, and dance for both school groups and adults, and for affiliate organizations


• Acquire and disseminate accurate information concerning the mission of the Association


• Promote heath enhancing programs in schools and communities in Delaware


• Cooperate with the American Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (Eastern District Association) and others interested in the growth and development of children and adults in Delaware.
